FAQ
How many does the stadium hold?
Currently 200. We really don't know how the site will perform under heavy use so this figure may rise or fall. According to your survey responses, away matches will be many times busier than home games.
Will I still be able to listen to WDON and get text updates as before?
Yes - WDON will still be available through your usual media player (eg Winamp, iTunes) and there will be a standalone page for the text updates which will also be viewable by mobile phone.
Will it be free?
Probably. However we are looking into charging to allow you to supply your own photo, and at busy times this would also guarantee you priority updates. In the survey 80% of you said you would be prepared to pay something (at an average of £15).
Where will the money go?
To pay for the hosting of the service, with the rest going to the club in some form.
Won't it affect attendances?
Not at Kingsmeadow, if you answered the survey honestly. Only 1 person (out of 110) said it would make them less likely to go to home games (and 1 said it would make them more likely!). 9% did say they might be less likely to go to away games though.
Is it really sponsored by Carlsberg and Sony?
Don't be daft. Although we would love to sell the advertising space for loads of money. If you know anyone who might be interested...
